Egypt's exports of engineering industries grew by 27% to record $ 2.1 billion in the first 7 months of 2022

Exports of Egyptian engineering industries during the period from January to July 2022 increased by 27% to record $ 2.1 billion compared to $ 1.6 billion in the same period of 2021.

The Export Council for Engineering Industries in Egypt said that the sector's exports achieved an increase of 24% in July 2022 compared to the same month of 2021, It reached $258.7 million in July 2022 compared to $209.1 million in July 2021.

The Council pointed out that the most important sectors that achieved an increase during the first 7 months of 2022, are electrical appliances jumped by 44% and cables by 64%.

Car components rose by 10.1%, household appliances rose by 7%, and pumps, boilers and engines rose 74%.

Machinery and equipment jumped 125%, metals by 40%.

The most important countries to which Egyptian engineering exports increased were the European countries (the United Kingdom, Slovakia, France, the Czech Republic, Spain), in Asia Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, and in Africa Algeria, Morocco, Libya and Kenya.
