Boeing secures $160 million in defense contracts for aircraft sustainment

 Boeing has been awarded two defense contracts totaling approximately $160 million for aircraft sustainment and production.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced that Boeing’s Long Beach, California facility received a $35.3 million modification to an existing contract for C-17 Globemaster III sustainment. This modification covers material improvement projects for fiscal years 2025 and 2026, increasing the total contract value to $7.92 billion from $7.88 billion.

Work on the C-17 sustainment program will be performed at multiple locations including Long Beach, California; San Antonio, Texas; Robins Air Force Base, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; McCord Air Force Base, Washington; and various global sites. The project is scheduled for completion by September 29, 2027.

The contract involves Foreign Military Sales to several countries including Australia, Canada, India, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, as well as the NATO Airlift Management Program. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is overseeing the contract.

In a separate award, Boeing’s Ridley Park, Pennsylvania facility secured a $125.6 million modification to an existing contract for CH-47 Lot Four Aircraft. This modification increases the total contract value to $148.1 million, with work locations and funding to be determined with each order. The estimated completion date for this contract is October 1, 2030.
