Madis Muller, a member of the European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council, issued a warning about potential inflation risks.

Muller highlighted that US trade tariffs and increased public spending in Germany could contribute to inflation.

Speaking to Estonian radio on Monday, Muller expressed his concern over the financial markets’ expectation of the ECB further lowering interest rates. He stressed the importance of careful assessment when it comes to the inflation outlook.

Muller also pointed out that there is no consensus among the ECB Governing Council members about what their next decision should be.
