Decline in cryptocurrency prices, Ethereum Drops Below $1,300

Cryptocurrencies fell during Thursday's trading and Ethereum fell below $1,300, while global equity and cryptocurrency markets face pressure as the US dollar rises.

Market fears are growing as global central banks tighten their monetary policy along the lines of the Federal Reserve, with the European Central Bank and the Bank of England expected to announce interest increases of 50 basis points during their meeting later today.

Meanwhile, the G20 countries are seeking an agreement on the regulation of cryptocurrency assets during their meetings in India, after the collapse of FTX sparked calls for increased censorship of the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin fell 0.70% at USD 17,653.62.

The second largest cryptocurrency by market value "Ethereum" also fell 1.78% to $1285.23, and Ripple fell 1.17% to 38 cents.
