The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) ended trading on Tuesday, midweek sessions, with a mass rise in indices driven by purchases from Egyptian dealers, amid low trading.
Market capital gained 10.3 billion pounds to close at 690.786 billion pounds. The IGX30 rose 2.46% to close at 9,923 points, and the IGX50 climbed 1.46% to close at 1907 points.
The IGX30 weighted index jumped 2.28% to close at 12,253 points, and the "IGX30 total return" increased 2.39% to close at 4,013 points.
The SME Index "EGX 70 Equal Weights" rose 1.64% to close at 2229 points, and the EGX 100 Equal Weights Index rose 1.66% to close at 3167 points.
