Nissan to book 73.9 billion yen gain on headquarters sale

Nissan Motor will record a gain of approximately 73.9 billion yen in the fiscal year ending March from selling its headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.

The automaker sold the building and land for 97 billion yen, while the book value was around 23 billion yen, creating the substantial gain.

Nissan has signed a 20-year leaseback agreement to continue using the building as its headquarters. The leaseback arrangement will begin December 12.
