Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s chief credit strategist Lotfi Karoui is leaving the bank after 18 years of service, according to Bloomberg, citing an internal memo.
Karoui, who also headed credit, mortgages and structured products research, was appointed to the chief credit strategist position in 2017. He was among 95 executives promoted to partnership status in November.
His exit follows news that Goldman Sachs’s chief US equity strategist David Kostin will retire at the end of 2025, as reported last month.
Karoui began his career at Goldman Sachs in 2007 as an associate in credit strategy research and was promoted to managing partner in 2015.
