Ahmed Kamal Takes Helm of ICM MENA Following Seven-Year Leadership Journey

ICM MENA has named Ahmed Kamal as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant career milestone for the executive after more than seven years with the financial services company. The promotion reflects the firm's commitment to developing its internal leadership and strengthening its operations across the Middle East and North Africa.

Having joined the organization in March 2019 as a Business Development Manager, Kamal gradually advanced through several management positions, gaining extensive experience in regional business operations, commercial development, and client relationship management. His career progression included appointments as Senior Business Development Manager in February 2021 and Team Leader in April 2023, before becoming Regional Manager in June 2024.

Before joining ICM, he spent nearly nine years at JMI Brokers, where he worked in sales coordination and business development. This experience helped establish his background in the forex industry, particularly in building commercial partnerships, managing client relationships, and supporting business growth.

The leadership transition comes as ICM MENA continues pursuing opportunities to expand its regional presence and strengthen engagement with traders, institutional partners, and other market participants.

Shoaib Abedi, Founder and Chairman of ICM, acknowledged Kamal's contributions to the company's development, emphasizing his leadership capabilities and understanding of the regional financial markets. The promotion recognizes his involvement in building the MENA team and supporting the firm's commercial activities over the years.

Following his appointment, Kamal expressed his commitment to further developing relationships with clients and business partners while maintaining the service standards associated with the ICM brand.

His promotion also highlights the importance of experienced regional executives in navigating the competitive financial services landscape. With more than a decade of industry experience, he brings knowledge of business development, client engagement, and regional market dynamics to his new leadership position.

The appointment represents another step in ICM MENA's efforts to reinforce its executive management structure and pursue long-term business development opportunities throughout the region.
