Global investment bank Moelis & Company has appointed David Pett as Managing Director within its Capital Markets division, strengthening the firm's relationships with private capital investors and expanding its investor coverage capabilities.
Based in West Palm Beach, Florida, Pett will focus on connecting family offices and private investors with opportunities across the bank's global advisory platform. His appointment supports the firm's strategy to enhance its capital markets services and broaden access to alternative investment opportunities.
Pett brings more than 15 years of experience in capital formation, alternative investments, and investor relationship management. He joins from Bridgeport Financial Technology, where he served as Managing Director, following earlier positions at Cantor Fitzgerald, Venterra Realty, and RAS Realty Partners.
Throughout his career, Pett has developed expertise in private capital markets, working with investors across various asset classes and identifying opportunities for capital deployment. His experience is expected to strengthen the bank's ability to deliver tailored investment solutions and facilitate connections between investors and businesses seeking capital.
The appointment comes amid growing institutional interest in private markets, including private credit, real estate, and direct investments. As investors diversify beyond traditional public markets, financial institutions are increasingly focusing on specialized capital-raising strategies and alternative asset solutions.
Moelis & Company provides investment banking, strategic advisory, restructuring, and capital markets services to corporations, financial sponsors, and institutional investors. Expanding its private investor network could create additional opportunities across its advisory and capital-raising activities.
The firm said Pett's addition would support its efforts to deepen investor relationships and broaden the capital markets solutions available to clients, reinforcing its commitment to serving the evolving needs of the global investment community.
