JPMorgan Chase Appoints Eleni Skoura as Head of Chase Germany

JPMorgan Chase has appointed Eleni Skoura as Head of Chase Germany, effective January 1, 2027, as the US banking group continues to strengthen its digital consumer banking operations across Europe.

Skoura will succeed Daniel Llano Manibardo, who is set to become Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan's International Consumer Banking division at the beginning of 2027. In her new role, Skoura will report directly to Manibardo and oversee the development and expansion of Chase's consumer banking business in Germany.

With more than two decades of international banking experience, Skoura has held senior leadership positions at several European financial institutions, including ING Romania, Garanti Bank and Piraeus Bank. Her background in retail banking, digital financial services and business development is expected to support Chase's long-term growth strategy in the German market.

The appointment comes as JPMorgan continues investing in its European consumer banking operations, with Germany representing a strategic market for its digital banking expansion. The group aims to strengthen its competitive position by developing innovative financial products and expanding its customer base.

Meanwhile, Manibardo will oversee JPMorgan's broader International Consumer Banking operations, including its Chase digital banking businesses in Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as its UK digital wealth management activities.

The leadership changes reflect JPMorgan's ongoing efforts to expand its European banking presence while strengthening its management structure to support future growth and digital innovation.
