LSEG FX has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Chris Soutar as Director, Global Strategic Lead – FX Swaps, bringing an experienced financial-markets executive into a global strategic role within its foreign exchange business.
Soutar announced his new position on LinkedIn, continuing a career spanning institutional trading, financial technology, electronic markets and business development.
His professional background includes experience with a range of prominent financial-market companies. Before joining LSEG FX, Soutar served as Sales Director for EMEA at institutional digital-asset technology provider Talos, where he worked on the company’s commercial development and relationships with institutional clients across the region.
He previously worked with 360T, part of Deutsche Börse Group, and has also held positions at Eurex, Investec and Currenex. These roles provided Soutar with experience across financial institutions, trading platforms and market infrastructure providers.
At LSEG FX, Soutar will focus on the company’s global strategy for FX swaps, a market that plays an important role in international funding, liquidity management and currency-risk management for financial institutions and corporations.
The appointment reflects the continued importance of specialist leadership within financial-market infrastructure companies as institutions seek more efficient trading technology, deeper liquidity and increasingly integrated workflows.
For LSEG FX, adding an executive with experience across both traditional foreign exchange and emerging institutional trading technologies strengthens its expertise as the business develops its services for global market participants.
