Jamie Sinclair Joins Capital Group As Head Of ETFs For Europe And Asia-Pacific

Capital Group has appointed Jamie Sinclair as Head of ETFs for Europe and Asia-Pacific, strengthening its leadership team as the firm continues to expand its active exchange-traded fund business across international markets.

Based in London, Sinclair will be responsible for building and leading Capital Group’s active ETF business across Europe and Asia-Pacific. His appointment comes as the firm looks to deepen its presence in two key regions and support growing client demand for active ETF solutions.

Sinclair joins Capital Group from BlackRock, where he spent more than 12 years in senior roles. Most recently, he served as Head of iShares Product Distribution for EMEA, gaining extensive experience in ETF distribution, client engagement, and product strategy across major global markets.

His background also includes more than 15 years of industry experience, giving him strong expertise in asset management, ETF product distribution, and institutional client needs. This experience is expected to support Capital Group’s efforts to scale its ETF platform and strengthen its offering for investors across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Capital Group is one of the world’s largest active investment managers, with around $3.4 trillion in assets under management. The firm has already built a strong position in the US active ETF market, where it offers a range of active ETFs and model portfolios.

Sinclair’s appointment reflects Capital Group’s growing commitment to active ETFs, a segment that continues to attract demand from investors seeking transparent, flexible, and actively managed investment solutions. His leadership is expected to play an important role in shaping the firm’s ETF strategy and expanding its reach across key international markets.

With Sinclair joining the business, Capital Group aims to further strengthen its active ETF capabilities, enhance client connectivity, and support the next stage of growth for its investment products across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
