Futures for U.S. stock indices rise in pre-market trading

U.S. stock index futures managed to achieve some gains during trading on Tuesday, amid anticipation of the release of producer price inflation data in the United States, one day before the consumer price index is announced.

On another note, markets are also preparing for the start of the quarterly earnings season, with major U.S. banks such as JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs set to release their latest earnings later this week.

In terms of trading, the performance of U.S. stock index futures during pre-market trading was as follows:

Dow Jones futures for industrial sector stocks fell by about 0.33% or 140 points to record 42,662 points. S&P 500 futures decreased by 0.51% or 30.75 points, recording 5,905.25 points. Nasdaq 100 futures for technology sector stocks dropped by 0.75% or 156.00 points to record 21,103.25 points.
