German Economy Contracts 0.1% In Third Quarter Amid Higher Inflation, Slowdown In Manufacturing Sector

Germany’s gross domestic product (GDP) contracted by 0.1% in the third quarter over the previous quarter, official preliminary data showed. It was better than analysts' expectation of a 0.2% contraction as Europe's top economy endures higher inflation and a slowdown in its manufacturing sector.
