Amr El-Ganainy Appointed Deputy CEO and Managing Director at CIB

 Commercial International Bank (CIB), Egypt's largest private sector bank, has announced the appointment of Mr. Amr El-Ganainy as the Deputy CEO and Managing Director of CIB. The appointment received approval from the Central Bank of Egypt.

Mr. El-Ganainy previously served as the Executive Vice President of Institutional Banking at CIB, bringing over 35 years of banking experience to his new role. He joined CIB in 2004 and held various positions within the bank, including General Manager and Head of Financial Institutions (2004) and General Manager and Head of Corporate Relations (2010).

Throughout his banking career, Mr. El-Ganainy has consistently achieved outstanding performance in all the positions he has held. He is widely recognized as one of the leading executives in the financial sector since obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Cairo University in 1985. He began his professional career at Suez Canal Bank, where he rose to the position of Senior Manager of the International Banking Division. He then joined the Egyptian Export Development Bank in 1994, where he served as Head of the International Banking Division.

In 2004, Mr. El-Ganainy joined CIB as General Manager and Head of Financial Institutions. He excelled in managing the sector, leveraging his strong relationships in the local and regional financial markets. In 2005, he obtained a certified credit expert certificate from J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in London.

Mr. El-Ganainy's experience extends globally. He was the first Egyptian and the youngest person to hold the position of Chairman of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (ICA), based in Beirut, and he remains its Honorary Chairman. He also served as an Executive Board Member of the International Financial Markets Association (ACI International), based in Paris. Additionally, he is the founder and chairman of the Egyptian Association of Securities Dealers (ACI Egypt), of which he continues to be an honorary chairman.

Due to his renowned reputation and extensive experience, Mr. El-Ganainy has been selected as an experienced board member in several major Egyptian companies in the aviation, financial services, and telecommunications sectors. He has also been elected to serve on the board of the Egyptian Exchange and Central Depository for five consecutive terms from 2005 to 2021.
