Ambani and Adani plan to produce 25 GW of Clean Energy in southern India

The billionaires, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, announced joint investments to produce 25 GW of renewable energy in Andhra Pradesh, southern India, as part of the two groups that rely heavily on fossil fuels to achieve their green energy goals.

During a government-organized investor gathering, Ambani, Asia's richest person, said that Reliance Industries would build projects to produce 10 GW of solar power in the state. Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, confirmed his group's commitment to building projects to produce 15 GW of renewable energy in 5 regions over the next few years.

The two groups did not share investment spending on their projects in Andhra Pradesh.
