On Thursday, Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tariq al-Mulla announced a major gas disclosure in the Mediterranean Nardess field.
The Minister added that the discovery was now in the assessment phase to ascertain the size of the reserves.
Egypt is expanding gas production and export, taking advantage of its high prices in international markets.
