Zellmer said, "The competition is very heated there, so we will study with our partner in the Chinese joint venture how to proceed... If we want to concentrate our energy, it is worth considering all scenarios and then taking a decision. "
He added that the company could simply consider selling cars in China rather than also producing them there.
Škoda looked forward to a greater focus in India. Volkswagen did not immediately respond to the request for comment.
