Bitcoin declines slightly despite other cryptocurrencies rising

Bitcoin fell slightly during Thursday's trading despite other cryptocurrencies rising, weighed down by the rise of the U.S. dollar and volatile stock markets.

According to data collected from Don Analytics, the weekly volume of non-replaceable codes across blockchain transactions decreased by 98% to $114.4 million, from $6.2 billion at the end of January.

The European Union may tighten restrictions on Russian cryptocurrency investments within the bloc as it seeks to respond to the "fictitious" independence vote in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine.

Bitcoin fell 0.16% at $19511, at 2:36 pm Mecca time, according to Queen's Pass data.

On the other hand, the second largest cryptocurrency in terms of market value "Ethereum" rose 0.61% to $1340.35, and Ripple increased 0.48% to 44.08 cents.
