EFG Hermes UAE has officially launched market-making and liquidity provision services on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), expanding its brokerage operations and strengthening its participation in the UAE's capital markets.
The launch, announced on October 16, 2026, introduces services designed to improve market liquidity, enhance trading efficiency, and support greater investor participation in securities listed on ADX.
Through the new offering, EFG Hermes UAE will provide continuous buying and selling interest in selected securities, operating in accordance with the exchange's regulatory requirements and market-making rules.
These services aim to support more consistent trading activity and potentially reduce bid-ask spreads, helping improve price discovery and lower transaction costs for investors.
The expansion also provides additional support for listed companies seeking to maintain active trading in their shares and attract a broader base of institutional and individual investors.
EFG Hermes UAE operates as part of EFG Hermes, the investment banking division of EFG Holding, which provides brokerage, investment banking, asset management, and research services across the Middle East and North Africa.
The company said its electronic trading infrastructure and risk management capabilities will support the delivery of its market-making operations.
The launch represents a further expansion of EFG Hermes' brokerage offering in the UAE and reflects the growing importance of liquidity provision as regional financial markets continue to develop and attract international capital.
