Deutsche Bank Partners with Farsight to Expand AI Across Investment Banking

Deutsche Bank has partnered with financial technology company Farsight to introduce artificial intelligence-powered tools across its investment banking and capital markets operations, aiming to improve productivity and streamline complex financial workflows.

The initial deployment covers teams in Europe and North America, allowing employees to use AI technology within the bank's existing infrastructure while maintaining control over sensitive financial information.

Farsight provides an AI execution platform designed to automate time-consuming tasks commonly performed by investment bankers, including preparing pitch presentations, financial models, investment memoranda and other transaction-related documents.

Unlike conventional AI chatbots, the technology operates as an embedded software layer, integrating with workplace applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

The platform is designed to adapt to the bank's established processes, document formats and internal standards, allowing teams to automate selected workflows without moving sensitive information outside the institution's technology environment.

According to Farsight CEO Samir Dutta, the ability to work within a financial institution's infrastructure is particularly important because investment banks rely on proprietary information, established practices and confidential client data.

The on-premises deployment enables Deutsche Bank to retain greater control over how institutional information is accessed and used, while supporting the development of AI-driven financial workflows.

George Tierney, Managing Director and Global Chief Operating Officer for Mergers and Acquisitions at Deutsche Bank, highlighted the importance of combining customization with operational control when introducing AI technologies into a regulated financial institution.

The partnership comes as major global banks increase investment in artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, accelerate document preparation and support employees working on complex transactions.

For Deutsche Bank, the implementation forms part of a broader technology modernization strategy focused on improving productivity while maintaining appropriate governance over financial data.

The collaboration also reflects the growing role of specialized AI platforms in investment banking, where technology providers are increasingly developing industry-specific systems rather than relying solely on general-purpose applications.
