MEX Exchange, the institutional electronic trading platform of MultiBank Group, has promoted Brian Andreyko to Chief Executive Officer, marking a major leadership change as the company continues expanding its institutional trading capabilities.
Andreyko moves into the CEO role after joining MEX Exchange earlier in 2026 as Chief Product Officer. At the same time, former CEO David Ogg has been promoted to Vice Chairman, allowing him to remain involved in the company’s strategic direction while Andreyko takes responsibility for its day-to-day leadership.
The executive reshuffle comes as MEX Exchange continues developing its institutional electronic trading infrastructure and expanding its presence across foreign exchange, precious metals, emerging markets and related execution services.
Andreyko joined MEX Exchange as Chief Product Officer in early 2026, based in New York. In that position, he was tasked with supporting the strategic development of the firm’s ECN, Technical Services and Execution Services businesses, while improving execution quality and expanding the company’s institutional offering.
His promotion to CEO only months after joining the company represents a rapid expansion of his responsibilities and places him at the center of MEX Exchange’s next stage of development.
The company said the leadership appointments are intended to strengthen management as it continues investing in its institutional electronic trading platform.
Andreyko brings more than three decades of experience across financial technology, institutional markets and electronic trading.
Before joining MEX Exchange, he spent almost six years at Edgewater Markets, where he served as Chief Product Officer and worked on trading infrastructure, liquidity solutions and electronic execution services.
His career has also included a number of senior roles across major FX and trading technology companies.
Andreyko previously served as Chief Business Officer at TradAir and held the position of CEO at MakoFX/Liquidity Pool. Earlier in his career, he worked at ICAP, where he served as Executive Vice President and Head of EBS, and at Currenex, where his roles included Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff.
This background gives the newly appointed CEO extensive experience across market structure, liquidity management, electronic execution, trading technology and institutional FX.
Under Andreyko’s leadership, MEX Exchange is expected to continue developing its institutional trading ecosystem, particularly its ECN, execution and technical-services businesses.
MEX Exchange operates as an institutional multi-dealer electronic communications network offering access to foreign exchange and precious metals markets. Its services are designed for professional market participants including banks, brokers, hedge funds, asset managers and family offices.
The platform has also been building capabilities around emerging-market currencies, connectivity, liquidity access and institutional-grade execution.
Andreyko has previously highlighted the opportunity for MEX Exchange to differentiate its institutional offering through speed, efficiency and execution quality, particularly for both emerging-market and global trading participants.
The promotion of Andreyko comes alongside another senior leadership move at MEX Exchange, with David Ogg transitioning from Chief Executive Officer to Vice Chairman.
Ogg brings more than four decades of experience in foreign exchange trading and trading technology and is widely recognized within the institutional FX industry for founding HotspotFX in 1999, one of the early institutional electronic communications networks.
His move to Vice Chairman keeps his experience within the company’s leadership structure while giving Andreyko responsibility for leading MEX Exchange’s operations and future expansion.
The appointments signal MEX Exchange’s continued focus on strengthening its senior leadership as it develops its technology, liquidity and execution infrastructure for institutional clients worldwide.
Andreyko’s promotion from Chief Product Officer to Chief Executive Officer marks the latest stage of his long career in electronic trading and positions him to lead MEX Exchange as the company pursues further growth across global institutional markets.
