The market capitalization of cryptocurrencies rises 6%. Ethereum climbs above $1600

The market capitalization of cryptocurrencies rose during Thursday's trading, and Ethereum rebounded above $1,600 amid optimism about the future of the cryptocurrency's blockchain network.

Ethereum is waiting for an upgrade on the network on the fifteenth of September, with the aim of changing the way transactions are done to become more energy-efficient, rather than using energy-consuming computers.

The global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies over the past twenty-four hours has risen 6.22 percent to $977.89 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Bitcoin also increased by 1.69% at 19325.25 dollars, according to Queen Bass data.

The second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, also rose 3.77% to $1633.59, and Ripple increased to 33 cents.
