Trump attacks Musk over the America Party Will a new political war ignite

In a move that has sparked widespread debate in political and media circles, President Donald Trump criticized billionaire and renowned businessman Elon Musk after the latter announced the establishment of a new political party called "America Party", in a step described as potentially reshaping the American political landscape in the coming years.

Trump told reporters during a speech in New Jersey before returning to Washington: "I think the establishment of a third party is ridiculous. We are achieving great success with the Republican Party, and there is no need to increase political division." He added that the political system in the United States is based on having two main parties, and introducing a third party would only confuse voters and weaken the conservative front.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced via a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter) the establishment of a new political party he named "America Party".

His announcement came after an unofficial poll he conducted among his followers, who voted overwhelmingly in favor of the need to establish a new party. Musk said in his tweet: "By a two-to-one margin, you want a new political party, and you will get it. Today, the America Party was founded to restore your freedom."

It is worth noting that the discussion about the establishment of a third party in the United States has been a recurring topic over the decades, but all previous attempts have failed to change the entrenched two-party system between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The entry of a figure as significant as Musk could represent a turning point in this context, especially if supported by strong funding and an active digital fan base.
