The Bitcoin cryptocurrency, the leading digital currency in the world, surged during trading on Monday, breaking its all-time high as it recorded over $109,000 in the early hours of the day. Investors are awaiting the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, known for his strong support of digital currencies.
However, in subsequent trading, Bitcoin reduced its gains and traded near the $108,000 level. At the same time, Trump’s cryptocurrency rose by as much as 67% after being listed on the trading platform Robinhood.
In terms of today’s trading, Bitcoin jumped by about $7,186 or around 7% to trade near the $108,480 level. Similarly, Ethereum followed this trend, rising by 6.14% to trade at $3,378.46 according to coinmarketcap.
