Report: Canada may impose retaliatory tariffs worth up to 150 billion Canadian dollars on American imports.

On Tuesday evening, the American news agency Reuters published a report - sourced from some of its informed sources - stating that Canada has prepared a package of retaliatory tariffs that it will impose on the United States.

The agency's sources added that if Trump imposes tariffs on imports from Canada, Canada may then impose countermeasures on imports of American goods worth up to 150 billion Canadian dollars.

According to the report, Canada will not necessarily impose these countermeasures immediately but will first conduct public consultations before implementing them.

A Reuters source clarified that the proposed Canadian countermeasures will be divided into three groups; with imports of orange juice from Florida being targeted immediately.
