Eurex Clearing AG has announced the appointment of Laura Bayley as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 June 2026. Laura will also join the company’s Executive Board, marking an important leadership transition for one of Europe’s leading clearing houses.
Laura Bayley joins Eurex Clearing from SIX Group, where she has served as Head of Clearing Services and CEO of SIX x-clear AG since 2022. In these roles, she has been responsible for overseeing clearing operations across multiple markets and strengthening SIX’s position within the European post-trade landscape.
With extensive experience in financial market infrastructures, Laura brings deep expertise spanning regulatory strategy, legal leadership, governance, and large-scale integration projects. Prior to and alongside her leadership at SIX x-clear, she played a significant role in advancing clearing activities at BME Clearing, contributing to the development and integration of robust clearing frameworks aligned with evolving regulatory standards.
An accomplished legal professional by training, Laura has been instrumental in shaping regulatory and governance frameworks within the clearing division at SIX. Her work has supported operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth, positioning clearing services to meet the increasing complexity of global financial markets.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Laura is actively involved in the wider industry. She represents SIX in key international forums, including the EACH Executive Committee and the SWIFT Board of Directors, reflecting her strong standing and influence across the global financial infrastructure ecosystem.
Laura’s proven leadership, combined with her regulatory insight and international experience, positions her well to guide Eurex Clearing AG through its next phase of development and growth.
