Hyundai Motor is recalling 135,386 Santa Fe vehicles in the United States due to a fire risk, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Wednesday.
The recall was initiated after it was determined that the starter motor in these vehicles may have been improperly installed.
This installation issue increases the risk of an electrical short circuit during a crash, which could potentially lead to a fire.
