European stock indices closed higher, except for the British index

The major European indices ended today's trading with mostly positive performance, recording noticeable gains for several indices, while the British FTSE 100 index declined slightly.

The German DAX index led the European gains today, rising by 0.64%, supported by strong performance in the technology and industrial sectors, which bolstered confidence in the German market as one of the main drivers of the European economy.

The French CAC index achieved an increase of 0.20%, benefiting from the rise in consumer goods sector stocks, while the overall performance of French stocks remained stable thanks to the stability of local economic conditions.

Similarly, the Spanish Ibex index rose by 0.56%, supported by strong performance in the banking and real estate sectors, reflecting the stability of the Spanish market and the continued growth momentum in these sectors.

The Italian FTSE MIB index topped the list of the highest-gaining European stock indices, recording gains of 0.93%, as the Italian market benefited from the rise in financial services sector stocks, which boosted optimism among investors. In contrast, the British FTSE 100 index registered a decline of 0.28%, affected by the drop in energy sector stocks, along with weak performance in some leading companies.
